We are currently seeking a Accounts Receivable, Collections Specialist to join our growing team! 

Position Overview:

Performs all related accounting functions including collections of outstanding A/R and contacting customers regarding overdue payments on outstanding accounts. Monitors, reviews and analyzes all current and past due accounts receivable balances for validity and as well as collection. Adheres to the policies and procedures set forth within the departmental guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Targets outstanding accounts for overdue payments collecting on 30, 60, 90 plus day old accounts.
  • Maintains divisional AR aging and collaborates with internal teams on outstanding items, reporting updates to management.
  • Build and maintain relations with clients to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Enters invoice level Accounts Receivable updates into Oracle accounting system ensuring proper coding utilizing standardized coding and project accounting in the system.
  • Analyze/reconcile customer accounts regarding the justification and generation of Credit and Debit memos.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control guidelines, accounting processes and ethical business concerns.
  • Manages multiple tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Does not supervise any direct report employees.
  • Performs most duties 50%-75% independently.
  • Performs other administrative support tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • A two-year Associate Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections required.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve with proven metrics on DSO and/or Cash Collections results.
  • Practical accounting knowledge and experience required including familiarity with Collections laws and guidelines. 
  • Excellent communication skills are required including demonstrated negotiation and client service skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook required.  Oracle experience desirable.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities required.

Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search as well continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
